Reaction Recommender

Use the Reaction Recommender to get AI-powered suggestions for reaction conditions. Enter your reaction, starting materials, and any constraints — and receive ranked condition sets with detailed rationale and supporting references.

Step 1: Open the Reaction Recommender

Choose the Reaction Recommender tool from the dashboard.

Step 2: Enter Your Reaction Details

Enter the type of reaction. Enter the starting materials and products by pressing Editor and drawing them, or type their name, CAS number, or other identifier. Add any additional notes to constrain the results — for example: "Do not recommend temperatures above 100°C".

Press Recommend conditions. The analysis will take 20–30 minutes to complete.

Step 3: Save Your Workflow

Save your workflow so you can open it again later. Name your workflow and either attach it to an existing Research Project or save it standalone — you can add it to a project at any time.

  • If you have previously created a project in the Research Projects section, choose it and press Create workflow and add to project.
  • If you have not yet created a project, save the workflow without one.

Output 1: General Reaction Analysis

A general analysis of the reaction will be provided, summarizing key considerations and context relevant to your query.

Output 2: Recommended Conditions

Sets of conditions will be recommended. Press Detailed breakdown on any condition set to see why those conditions were suggested along with supporting references.

Output 3: Detailed Breakdown

The detailed breakdown provides additional rationale for the suggested conditions, practical notes, and references that support the recommendations.

Output 4: Download and Project Actions

To download a PDF of this search, add it to a project, or load/start another workflow, use the action buttons in the top right corner of the results screen.
